Vacation mode

I'm switching to vacation mode and jumping on a plane for a week in London 

and then a week in Gothenburg, Sweden, at Camilla Engman's ACE Camp :)

Hoping the technology gods will smile on me and I can post loads of 

pics on instagram and facebook pages. Feeling so lucky and happy :)

Creative Space: T-shirting

I've been such a bad blogger, I'm sorry. There have been bits of craftiness going 

on though...  My sewing machine has started working again, so some of the waiting 

t-shirts with the crocheted motifs have been finished :)

Creative Space: Blue

New electric blue patterns are now new electric blue tea towels :)

In my shop too. I think I'll do up some fat quarters next.

Blue Monday

I've been working on some new designs... and, strangely, they've all been 

inspired by colour. I'm so in love with this electric blue at the moment.

This simple Harlequin block printed pattern came first...

... then this one, another block print, which I'm calling Seismograph 

(for obvious reasons)...

... and lastly, a screen print and block print combination which was totally unplanned 

and just evolved as I cut out the screen. Not sure what to call this, so at the moment 

it has the highly unimaginative name of Leaves and Thorns ;)

They've all been printed onto white linen tea towels and I'll probably be listing them 

in my Etsy shop soon. If you have a better name for this last one I'd love to hear it.

An Easter break

Don't you just love the Easter break? We went to the mountains and did lots 

of bushwalking. I also did a fair chunk of crochet for a bed throw project I've been 

meaning to start on for a while. Such a wonderful mini-break.

Creative Space: My Space

I have my own space now and I'm very excited :) 

I'm in the process of moving all of my equipment and bits and pieces 

into the room, so it's still a bit of a mess but I really couldn't care less - 

the joy of having a room of one's own!

 It's one of those long thin sleep-out kind of spaces that Queenslander 
houses have... windows down one side and I even have a wall where
I can finally hang some of the artworks and prints I've bought from 
blog friends over the years :)







I still need to find a suitable table for printing - actually I'm thinking about
getting a raised one as all this screen and block printing of late has been
causing havoc with my back. At the moment, though, I have a temporary 
desk there to work on.





And it's nice having all my printable fabric nearby... even if it's not the best 
storage method ;) No doubt over time I will nip and tuck and paint and alter 
many things – I have so many plans for my room :)
